Historical Philanthropies

Delta Eta helps the community by having one charitable organization that it focuses on every year, however that is not the limit of the community involment Delta Eta's future leaders strive for. Some of the other events that Delta Eta helps in are:

• Cans around the Oval : Cans Around the Oval is a Colorado State University tradition, where students, faculty, and staff partner with community members, local media, and area businesses to raise awareness about the facts surrounding the issue of hunger, as well as raise food and monetary donations. This event is Larimer County’s Largest single-day Food Drive and benefits the Food Bank for Larimer County.
• Fall Clean Up : Throughout the Fort Collins community around 2,000 volunteers raked leaves, washed windows, cleaned gutters, trimmed bushes, and assisted in other yard work tasks, supporting over 300 elderly and/or physically limited community members who needed help maintaining their yards for the fall season. We also collected over 4,500 bags of leaves to be composted!
